When should I book my fall changeover?
Aim for mid to late October. Once daytime highs stay below 7°C, summer and all-season tires lose grip, and the first snowfall sends every Hamilton driver to a tire shop on the same week.
When should I switch back to summer tires?
When daytime temperatures stay above 7°C, usually mid to late April in Hamilton. Running winter tires in the heat wears them out fast.
Is it faster if my tires are already on rims?
Yes. A swap of mounted wheels is quick. If your tires need to be mounted onto rims, it takes longer and includes balancing.
Do you check my tires during a changeover?
We look at tread depth, damage and pressures on every wheel we handle, and tell you if a set is near the end of its life.
